Steps of Hope Breast Cancer Awareness Walk is an initiative organized by the Leo Club of Gampaha Metro Juniors joining with Leo Club of Taxila Central College , Leo club of R/Gankanda Central College , Leo Club of Defence Services College , Leo Club of St.Servatius College Matara , Leo Club of Nalanda College , Leo Club of Mahinda Rajapaksha College , Leo Club of Ethos IC , Leo Club of Colombo Midtown Ramanathan Hindu Ladies College & Leo Club of DS Senanayake College to raise awareness about breast cancer prevention and early detection. Scheduled for 25th of November, this meaningful event brought together Leos and the community to take a united stand against breast cancer.

The walk, spanning from Galle Face to Viharamahadevi Park, aims to educate the public about the importance of early screening and healthy practices while fostering solidarity for those affected by breast cancer. Participants will carry posters, distribute educational leaflets, and engage with the community to spread vital health messages.
The “Steps of Hope” project successfully brought together the Alpha Leos of District 306, showcasing the strength and unity of our movement. Beyond being a walk, it became a symbol of awareness, hope, and collective action for an important cause. By inspiring early detection and spreading knowledge on breast cancer, this initiative proved that small steps taken together can create a lasting impact. The project not only raised awareness but also reinforced the true Pride of 306 Alpha Leos, a team committed to leading with purpose and serving with heart.
